Volcano Lodge is located on the side of the road that connects La Fortuna de San Carlos with the Arenal Lake, with direct view of the Arenal Volcano.This 5,300-foot high cone-shaped mountain laid dormant for hundreds of years, but in 1968 it erupted destroying the small town of Tabacon at its base killing approximately 80 of its inhabitants.
Arenal is considered Costa Rica's most active volcano and has been the study of seismologists for many years. Experiencing the volcano is an excellent adventure and truly worth the four-hour trip from San Jose. If you've never visited a volcano before, hearing and seeing Arenal's eruptions is an awesome experience.

Volcano Lodge offers spacious and comfortable rooms equipped with double beds or a King size bed, air conditioning, private bathrooms with hot water, cable TV, hair dryer and safe deposit box. Each room has a private terrace over viewing the volcano and they are designed to accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 4 guests.
