Tilajari Resort Hotel is Costa Rica's premier hotel resort located in the lush valley of San Carlos. Arenal Volcano is located here and is Central America's most active volcano. The 76 room Tilajari Resort has installations that are spread among 17 hectares of impeccable gardens with over 350 different plants and tropical fruit trees, medicinal plants, and its own butterfly farm. We have a marvelous view of the San Carlos River where you may observe crocodiles, iguanas, and a diverse variety of fauna in the wild.

All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fan, hot water, private bath, telephone, private terrace, hairdryer and satellite TV. Junior Suites have the above plus table, chair, and a sofa bed.

The restaurant offers the best in Costa Rican and international cuisine. Our chef would gladly prepare your favorite meal, while you have one of our wide varieties of tropical cocktails in our bar. The ambience is enhanced by the surrounding gardens of luscious tropical plants and a host of birds.

We have a junior Olympic size pool and kiddy pool, Jacuzzi, and his/her saunas. Other sports facilities include 2 indoor and 3 outdoor tennis courts, a lighted soccer field, two racquetball courts, a basketball/ volleyball court and ping pong table.

We also offer horseback riding, kayaks, an enclosed butterfly farm, 1,000 acres of private tropical rainforest, and 25 acres of groomed lawns, gardens and fruit trees

The many natural attractions of the San Carlos Valley allow for a great variety of excursions. We have an excursion to a Volcano Arenal lookout where you witness grumbling eruptions with shooting lava. We have an outing to the the 1000 acre Humid Tropical Forest of Tilajari - you can get there by horseback or on a flatbed tractor. We offer other excursions to Venado Caverns, Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, Fortuna Waterfall and a Safari Float Tour

During high season peaks, spring break, Easter Week, Christmas and New Year - a minimum stay reservation of 2 nights is required.
Children from 0 to 5 years old no charge will apply when sharing a room with two adults.
From 6 to 10 years old inclusive will have free lodging but all meals will be charge.
From 11 years and older will be considered as an adult.
A maximum of two children for each room applies. More than that will be charge as an adult.
